ERP Implementation Pre-Project Work and HRIS Process Optimization
Policy Writing
The Organizational Documentation Governance policy was created as part of my role as project manager leading documentation standardization across the organization. In collaboration with our consultant, I designed and implemented this governance framework to ensure all departments follow consistent rules for document creation, version control, storage, audits, and long-term maintenance. This policy establishes a documentation methodology and provides a structured approach for how information and processes should be documented.
The Recruitment and Onboarding policy was created to support process engineering in the food bank's HR/Admin department. All policy documentation was kept in separate documents, so we consolidated all documents into a master form, and included other items to make the policy more robust, including terms, best practices, and steps on how to perform certain functions.
Process Documentation
To support process engineering and system learning, I created a process step activity chart to demonstrate how to perform steps within Paycom as it relates to the ATS.
Documentation Methodology
To prepare the food bank for an ERP implementation, I collaborated with the our external consultant to develop a documentation methodology that addressed missing business documentation. This strategy defined documentation layers, general to detailed, and established a structured plan for capturing all necessary information.
Together we introduced new documentation types to the food bank, including a glossary of terms, IS maps, foundational principles, business rules, and multiple portfolios, to ensure the food bank had a complete, accurate foundation for ERP readiness.
